Plate Picasso Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

DeLow Dynamics operates Plate Picasso. This notice explains the data used by the iPhone and iPad app, its online AI feature, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and purchases. No account is required to use the app.

Plate ideas and online AI

When you choose online AI processing, the phrase you enter, your selected country and region, and the plate character limit are sent to Plate Picasso’s Firebase service. That service sends the request to OpenAI to generate a plate idea. The app asks for your permission before your first AI request. Choose Use Offline to generate on your device instead. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into a phrase.

Offline generation does not send your phrase to the AI services. You can turn on the editor’s Offline switch at any time to stop online AI requests. Online processing is subject to the service providers’ policies and data controls; it should not be treated as a private vault or a service that guarantees immediate deletion of every request.

Saved designs, Photos, and sharing

Recent plate designs are stored locally on your device. Saving a design to Photos requests add-only Photos permission. The app does not read your existing photo library. When you use the system share sheet, the design and caption are shared with the destination you choose, under that destination’s policies. Apple’s device backup and photo synchronization settings may also apply to data you save.

Usage analytics

We use PostHog to understand app use and improve the product. Events can include app launches, selected countries and regions, feature interactions, plate creation counts, errors, and the outcome of a Remove Ads purchase or restore. Events are associated with a random installation identifier and device/app context such as device model, operating system, app version, locale, and time zone.

Usage analytics events do not include the phrase you typed or the content of your saved plate history. The app does not ask for your name, email address, or Apple ID for analytics. You can turn usage analytics off in Settings. This stops future app analytics events; it does not automatically delete events already received by a provider.

Crash and diagnostic reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to find and fix crashes and errors. Reports may include crash traces, diagnostic and installation identifiers, device and operating-system details, app version, and technical context about a fault. We do not intentionally attach the phrase you typed to crash reports. Diagnostic information is used to maintain and improve app reliability.

Advertising

Plate Picasso uses Google AdMob and requests non-personalized ads. Google’s advertising services may collect an IP address and approximate location derived from it, app- or device-bounded identifiers, ad interactions, product interactions, crash reports, performance data, and other diagnostic data for advertising, analytics, security, and service operation. The app does not request precise GPS location. Starting with version 2.1 (build 6), the app requests App Tracking Transparency permission before regional advertising consent, ad SDK initialization, or ad loading. If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may use your advertising identifier to measure advertising across apps and websites. If you deny permission or tracking is restricted, AdMob does not receive your advertising identifier. Ad requests remain non-personalized, and publisher first-party ID is disabled.

Advertising consent and privacy choices are presented when required for your region. Purchasing Remove Ads removes automatic and banner ads. Optional rewarded ads remain available when you choose to earn additional AI credits. Choosing a rewarded ad can result in the advertising service processing the data described above.

Purchases

Apple processes in-app payments. Plate Picasso does not receive or store your payment card number or security code. The app uses verified App Store transaction information to provide or restore Remove Ads. Purchase and restore outcomes and the ads-removed status may also be recorded in the usage analytics described above.

Service providers and data use

The app uses Firebase for its online service, app integrity checks, and crash reporting; OpenAI for AI suggestions; PostHog for usage analytics; Google AdMob for advertising; and Apple for purchases, Photos permissions, and system sharing. These providers process data for their respective services. App integrity and security checks may process technical identifiers and network information to help prevent abuse.

For more information, see the providers’ current notices: Firebase privacy and security, OpenAI privacy policy, PostHog privacy policy, and Google privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Local plate history remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or remove the app, subject to Apple’s backup settings. Designs saved to Photos remain until you remove them from Photos. Online requests, security logs, analytics, and diagnostics may be retained by service providers under their applicable policies and project settings for service operation, reliability, security, and abuse prevention. We retain information only as needed for these purposes and applicable obligations.

Deleting local history does not automatically erase information already processed by an online provider. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of data, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing or to complain to a data-protection authority. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and the information available to us; anonymous installation data may require additional details to locate.

Your choices

  • Choose Use Offline, or enable the Offline switch, to keep phrase generation on your device.
  • Turn usage analytics off in Settings to stop future app analytics events.
  • Manage tracking permission in iOS or iPadOS Settings. Use in-app advertising privacy choices where available, and choose whether to watch rewarded ads.
  • Manage Photos permission and saved images through iOS or iPadOS.
  • Delete recent designs from the app’s history or remove app data from your device.

Children, updates, and contact

Plate Picasso is a general-audience entertainment app and is not directed to children. Do not provide a child’s personal information through AI prompts or support messages. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been provided so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.
